When I was young I worked at the Hamilton Beach factory in Cambridge, Ohio. It was a summer job and as I recall, summer jobs were easy to find at that time. I remember working at many different stations, from assembly of tiny washers and bolts, to finishing iron covers, to working on the assembly line. They say automation actually creates more jobs than it destroys. I really doubt that. We may be headed for a technological cliff.

Over the past 40 years my wife and I owned a company providing science and medical art work to publishers of college text books. Since retiring, I now spend most of my free time creating fine art works. Ranging from landscapes to still life's, and everything in between. I usually post a new painting about every 2-3 months. I hope the images that I create brings a little peace and joy to the viewer.
