The Amish way of life is a testament to simplicity, community, and devotion. Rooted in strong religious beliefs, the Amish people live in close-knit agricultural communities, embracing a lifestyle that shuns modern conveniences and emphasizes traditional values. Their homes, often plain and functional, are havens of warmth and hospitality. In daily life, technology is eschewed, and transportation relies on horse-drawn buggies. Work is a communal effort, with farming and craftsmanship playing central roles. The Amish practice a distinctive form of dress, reflecting modesty and uniformity. Family and community ties are paramount, and decisions are made collectively. Despite the challenges of preserving their way of life in a rapidly changing world, the Amish continue to embody a steadfast commitment to faith, simplicity, and the enduring strength of community bonds.

Over the past 40 years my wife and I owned a company providing science and medical art work to publishers of college text books. Since retiring, I now spend most of my free time creating fine art works. Ranging from landscapes to still life's, and everything in between. I usually post a new painting about every 2-3 months. I hope the images that I create brings a little peace and joy to the viewer.
