I did this painting just a couple weeks after my wife and I and Merlin our cat, experienced the events of the memorial day tornados of 2019 in the Dayton Ohio area. I will never forget the twisted destruction and the loss of basic services we all take for granted. No water, no electricity, no
internet, etc. We were some of the lucky ones where the funnel jumped over our house, but others were not so lucky. It's a funny thing how a tragedy can bring out the best in total strangers, and bring people together.

Over the past 40 years my wife and I owned a company providing science and medical art work to publishers of college text books. Since retiring, I now spend most of my free time creating fine art works. Ranging from landscapes to still life's, and everything in between. I usually post a new painting about every 2-3 months. I hope the images that I create brings a little peace and joy to the viewer.
